TECH-G is an FDA approved high strength PETG filament designed specifically by Taulman3D for design engineering and architectural use.

TECH-G is the highest strength PETG for standard PETG polymers.  TECH-G was developed for large prints that require low shrinkage over a wide surface area.
TECH-G's main use is for large components and Architectural  landscapes.

TECH-G has an amazing tensile strength of 5900 PSI with a limited elongation of 3% when 3D printed.

PETG (polyethylene terephthalate) is an exciting filament gaining popularity for its low melting temperature combined with high strength and flexibility. In short, it combines the ease of printing PLA with a functionality and strength that rivals ABS. Taulman's TECH-G was designed specifically for design engineering and architectural use, and offers even higher strength than other PETG filaments while providing limited elongation.

  • High Tensile Strength: 5900+ PSI
  • Low Elongation: 3%
  • No odors when printing
  • FDA approved
  • True Diameter
  • Opacity: 7%

In early 2015, TECH-G was released on a limited basis to obtain user feedback on the performance of our new high strength PETG called TECH-G.  TECH-G was developed to not only be high strength, but also have limited elongation.  Engineering firms were using PLA and ABS for initial Form and Fit evaluations.  In some cases, the strength of these materials allowed some limited functional use.  In the case of PLA, it was the brittle nature of medium or larger parts that severely limited functional testing.  With ABS, the limit was always Tensile strength.  With TECH-G, we believe we have now given the development and design industry an easy to print material with much higher Tensile when 3D Printed and enough elongation so as to be truly useful in functional testing.

STORAGE: One large resealable bag with slider + an extra desiccant pack are included with every spool. The bag and extra desiccant are a great way to safely store your filament spool when not in use. It keeps your filament bone dry & free from any dust or dirt particles, so it's always ready for your next print.

      3d printing temperature guideline Printing
      Temperature:

      Notes:

      238°C - 245°C
      • Nozzle = any size
      • Print speed = ABS speeds, slower for high detail prints.
      • Retraction = .5mm/.1mm nozzle or for a .5mm nozzle = 2.5mm
      • Print bed = Glass heated to 45C with coat of PVA. Can be printed without a heated bed on a sheet of BuildTak with a coat of PVA.
      • NOTE: It is best "NOT" to let the bed cool to ambient, but only down to 35C in end of g-code. This will reduce glass breakage.
